despedida

an art book i made this summer with photos from my window in caracas, the last time i was there.

i included a short text i wrote at dusk, when the sky was orange, and the birds were frantically letting me know it was time to start over.

siempre en mi esencia.

laberintos

a series of drawings made upon reflecting on parallel paths, roads not taken, doors that open and close.

as i worked through this book, i decided to hand letter and include a few excerpts of something i had scribbled, en español.

paseo

Paseo, means to wander on a subject without going too deep into it. This photo book gathers what's probably commonplace in a lot of Japanese cities.

Through the eyes of a stranger, the quotidien transforms into something surprising and enriching. Each corner and detail, seen and experienced, takes on a newfound freshness.

“you must pay maximum attention to everything happening at this very moment: be here now.”

yolanda

Yolanda, a zine I cobbled together as I printed. An experiment to test what I could do with Riso.

It contains a selection of drawings my grandma made as she was loosing her eye sight, while my dad was teaching her how to draw.
